    List Building Software

    Filed under: Internet;

    As many of you that read this blog know.  This blog is my personal blog, mike myers is my real name and not one of my many pen names.  I am a tech geek at heart so most things on here are generally technology related because that what I like to do in my down time.

    I try to keep content from all of my other blogs out it.   Kinda of like a place of peace.  My other few dozen blogs and other sites I write for never blend into this one.  You get the real me here.  You all are my friends :) I know that out of the hundreds that will read this blog entry in the next 24 hours I really only know personally a small percentage of you, you are all still my friends.

    So where am I leading to? Well, I am going to bring into this blog a recommendation from one of my other blogs.  Of the people that I do know personally that read my blogs, my tweets, etc.  A lot of them are entrepreneurs just like me.

    One of the companies that I own is an internet marketing company.  In the internet marketing space building a mailing list is very important.  I can send an email and make money almost instantly because I have built a list and I have built a trust and relationship with the subscribers on my list.

    So I was talking to a friend who owns a local business and we were talking about the differences between online and offline businesses.  In this discussion we got on to building mailing lists.  He has a physical mailing list but never even considered an electronic one.  I was just the opposite.  I never considered a physical mailing list but have many electronic ones with thousands of people on them.

    I take for granted that anyone in the Internet Marketing arena already does the list building and just assumed the same for local businesses.  After I showed him how it can all be automated and that he can send a seasonal promotional email for $0 in a matter of minutes, he was hooked.

    In my IM world, I have lots of friends that are well known for their little piece of the IM world.  One of them is named Chris Freville and is from across the pond as they say.   He has put together a great program that teaches how to setup and use automated email lists and opt-in forms.  His program is called the Automated List Builder. You can go to companies like aweber or getresponse and setup your own as well. But Chris walks you through the whole process and even some other tips and tricks.

    The Automated List Builder is geared toward the IM field but has lots of good information in it for even offline businesses.

    I am sorry for invading my personal blog with one of my businesses.  But because most of my personal friends do not read my other blogs (they may not even know they exist :) ), they best way I could try to help them all out like I did my other friend was to put in a public forum like this.

    I know I have promised to keep up with this blog more :( Things have been really busy recently. But I am still here and will try to get better.

    For now…. See Ya.

    PS. If you have questions about the whole list building thing, email me or comment. I will try to help you out.
